Understanding What the Body Is Trying to Tell Us
Helping the Gut, Immune System and Mind Work Together Again

A healthy gut does far more than support digestion. Nutrition, physical activity, sleep and stress all influence gut health, immune function and overall well-being. Supporting gut health can make an important contribution to health, resilience and quality of life.

The close connection between the gut, immune system and mind has become an important focus of modern research. In this context, Immunopsychology plays a key role. It explores how psychological factors influence the immune system – and how the immune system, in turn, affects mental well-being. Stress, anxiety and depression, for example, can negatively impact immune function, while good psychological well-being can strengthen the immune system. Because the gut plays a central role in immune health and influences numerous immune processes, it becomes clear that a healthy gut microbiome is important not only for physical health, but also for emotional well-being.
